Pen Name Wendy Turner
Wendy realized words and sentences made the difference for her writing. She went from writing E letter grade papers to writing an A++ play. She grew up in an oral tradition household telling stories around the kitchen table, and worked as a waitress, gas jockey, and then as a secretary. She completed her degree in
English at Simon Fraser University whilst eating a lot of chocolate. Wendy won
an Award for Poetry: The judges for the poetry competition were Mayor Wright
from the City of New Westminster, and one of two Poet Laureates in Canada.
